With a quick stop at Curbside Check-In you can skip the ticket counter and go straight to the security checkpoint. You can check your bags, put any associated baggage charges on a credit card, then pick up your boarding pass and be on your way. Curbside Check-In is available when checking bags:

Curbside check-in availability typically coincides with ticket counter hours. If Curbside happens to be closed, you may use Self Service Check-in or see an agent at the ticket counter.

Online Flight Check-In
E-ticketed passengers can check in at home or the office, select a seat and print a boarding pass. For flights within and between the U.S., Puerto Rico and the USVI, you can check in for your flight anytime from 24 hours to one hour prior to departure. For flights beyond the U.S., Puerto Rico and the USVI, you can check in for your flight anytime from 24 hours to two hours prior to departure. (If you have bags to check, please use Curbside Check-In or the Self-Service Check-In machines.)

Self-Service Check-In

Check in, get a boarding pass and check your bags with American Airlines Self-Service Check-In. With Self-Service Check-In machines, located near our ticket counters, you can check in, select a seat, check bags and get a boarding pass.
